Green and Gold Plaid Christmas Tree
A green and gold plaid Christmas tree, perfect for neutral themed holiday decor. Add in wooded beads, white lights, and vintage touches under the tree for a beautiful look!
Okay friends, get ready because I’m about to bombard this blog with all things Christmas! I already feel so behind! How the heck is it already a week into December?! I tell ya, time is such a blur nowadays.
Anyways, Christmas this year with our little babe is going to be such a blast. It already has been the best time picking out festive jammies, present shopping, and all the planning to see Santa and such.
I cannot wait to create new traditions and share old ones as a family of three! Enter our green and gold plaid Christmas tree!
This time of year holds such a special place in my heart, because Christmas Eve is when my husband proposed. He actually hung my engagement ring on an ornament on our tree, this exact tree that we still have!
It’s a hand me down, and the lights are going out on it, but I cannot part with it just yet! Actually I’ll probably keep it forever as a second tree, and fill it with all Baileys handmade ornaments in the future. Ugh, that thought along makes me teary!
This year, I once again went neutral for our Christmas tree. I am using a lot of decorations I already have, so it’s pretty similar to last years green, white, and wood tree that I did.
I’m loving that a lot of bloggers this year are speaking out about not buying all new decorations each year, and rather using what you have. It comes with the territory for us, but I’m sure most of you already abide by that!
I did purchase a handful of new things, but not too much. For instance, this great green and gold plaid ribbon, and that was entirely my inspiration for this years color theme.
Paired with some natural wood bead garland, and gold and green ornaments, I love the combo! I like my tree to be pretty simple, and this year it is just that.
Adding in a vintage touch is something I love to do, so I added some old wood boxes under the tree again like I’ve done in years past. It’s just a great way to add in that extra character and charm to the space.
Also, I am the worst present wrapper you will ever meet in your life, but I absolutely love designing the packages! Like, I need to write an entire post on it because it’s something I really look forward to.
So that is it! Our simple tree that we love. I can’t wait to share the rest of the house with you, because it definitely turned out to be one of my favorites. You are going to see a lot of greenery, brass, and cozy elements. Stay tuned!
