Christmas Dining Room
Celebrate Christmas in the dining room with winter greenery, taper candles, and seasonal touches. Create a festive atmosphere for entertaining during the holidays!
Entertaining during the holidays is obviously something a lot of people are planning ahead for right now. Creating a hosting plan takes so much time and effort. And decorating for Christmas in the dining room may just be a part of that too!
We usually do Christmas Eve with my family, and Christmas Day with my husbands family. This year it just so happens we are going to be home on Christmas morning, so we are throwing around the idea of hosting brunch for some of us who don’t have plans that day.
Naturally, I had to make sure our dining room was all decked out and ready if we do end up having company. Decor in a space can really effect your guests mood and overall enjoyment during a gathering, especially over the holidays.
I wanted to make this space feel inviting, but not overwhelming to where anyone would be distracted by decorations the entire time they were eating and visiting with each other.
This space is filled with a ton of greenery, because Christmas always reminds me of wreaths, pinecones, sprigs of winter greens, garland, and of course Christmas trees!
Did you see my green and gold plaid Christmas tree I shared early this week?
For the centerpiece on our farm table, I just laid out three plain greenery wreaths and added mini pinecones, brass bells, and taper beeswax candles to each of them. Simple and festive for Christmas!
I also used some cozy ivory yarn to tie on sprigs of winter greens to the two green shutters I have in this space. They give such a wintery vibe almost like a wreath does, but just on a smaller scale.
Bottle brush trees are a must, and I add them just about everywhere in our house. I think they look great showcased in my antique hutch with my ironstone and pottery collection.
Overall I love how this space turned out. Again, it’s just simple touches that really go a long way when it comes to Christmas decor. I hope my guests enjoy it too!
