How to Create a Cozy Puzzle Table Corner
Here are a few ways you can create a cozy puzzle table corner in any space. Pull up a stool and get lost putting together a good puzzle, or any other activity.
Last holiday season, I came across a post from Joanna Gaines where she created the most cozy little puzzle table corner in their family room. I have literally not stopped thinking about it since then.
I love the idea of carving out a little nook solely dedicated to putting together a puzzle. Not only does that feel so incredibly nostalgic and cozy to me, but what a great way to just press pause every now and then and take a puzzle break.
Our bedroom had a small area that I thought would be perfect for this, so over the last year I have collected vintage pieces to put together my own little puzzle corner. And now, I’m in love.
Find the Right Sized Puzzle Table
I’m not trying to put together any enormous, intricate puzzles, so I just needed a small table to fit my space. I found this antique wood side table at an antique store that I knew would be a good fit.
And she’s cute, so there’s that.
Make sure to measure your space before you go looking, and take into consideration the size table top, so that you have plenty of room to work.
Consider Puzzle Storage
Games and puzzles can stack up and get messy rather quickly. Another reason why I grabbed this table was because it had a drawer big enough to store a few puzzles in.
For me, this little corner of our room is meant to bring some peace during a busy day, so clutter is not something I want to see there.
I also love the idea of ditching the boxes and putting all the pieces in mesh bags for less storage bulk. Cut out the picture of the puzzle and stick it inside the mesh bag too for reference.
The Perfect Floor Lamp for Puzzle Lighting
This floor lamp is literally the most perfect lamp for a puzzle table. It’s small, and easy to maneuver around. It can extend in height, and the arm can swing whichever way you need it to go. And my favorite part is that it has a dimmer!
I love that it doesn’t overpower the space, yet compliments it in the best way possible.
Pull up a Stool
For a little corner spot like this, I thought a stool would make for the perfect seating option. I found this black metal stool years ago and it’s been in and out of designs in our home for years.
It fits perfect under my vintage side table, and it’s comfortable to sit on. However, I might add a little stool pad later on down the road just for added coziness.
Make the Space Cozy
I specifically wanted this table to be near a window, so I could enjoy the wooded area behind our house, and any other cozy atmosphere outside that graces us.
Throw blankets are always a must for any cozy corner. I rolled up my favorite knitted throw and repurposed this log holder into a throw holder.
Add a cup of coffee, some beautiful artwork, an overall cozy atmosphere, and you got yourself the perfect puzzle table corner.
Don’t Forget the Puzzles
I’m definitely a landscape, cityscape, cozy setting puzzle kind of girl. Something that ends up beautiful at the end. But I’m pretty good at a Baby Shark or Paw Patrol puzzle too.
If you are an avid puzzle person, I’d love to hear in the comments what your favorites are!
