Brown and Brass Christmas Dining Room
See all the details of our brown and brass decorated Christmas dining room. A neutral and natural color palette for a peaceful, relaxing holiday.
For the past few years I’ve went traditional with my color palette for Christmas. This year, I’m bringing back the neutrals!
I’m embracing the browns this season, and mixing in a lot of greenery and brass. I feel like you can absolutely pair brass with any color and the two will always compliment each other.
However, brown and brass together made a huge statement, and add a certain muted elegance to a space. My house is nowhere near elegant with two toddlers running rampant, so I can use all the help I can get!
We begin the holiday home tour with our brown and brass Christmas dining room, and all its details.
Greenery Garland, Sprigs, and Wreaths
When in doubt, add greenery. And that is just what I did, and always do.
I added two winter garlands together and draped it over our hutch. I always tie up some greenery sprigs to our shutters, and dress them up with some ribbon and brass bells.
And during Christmas time I go wreath crazy. They are everywhere.
Brass Lanterns Table Centerpiece
I bought these two brass lanterns years ago and love decorating with them around the holidays. The battery operated pillar candles work great when you don’t want to worry about a flame.
I set each lantern in the middle of a cheap wreath and just added sprigs of another type of greenery to it to make it full and beautiful. My favorite trick for saving money on wreaths!
Ribbon Galore
I feel like ribbon is really having its moment this holiday season. Not just for wrapping presents, but for decorating too.
I used linen ribbon, velvet ribbon, satin ribbon, regular ribbon, I used it all! I always pair them in at least two different colors, and it accentuates everything.
Holiday Accents
Bottle brush trees are one of my go-to’s for Christmas. They have so many varieties now that you can mix and match them with anything color theme you have going on.
I also love little houses. I’ve seemed to find all mine in the dollar spot at Target. Wood or ceramic, they are all super cute.
And that’s it for our little Christmas dining room tour. I’ve got a lot more brown and brass coming your way!
