Master Bedroom Paint Color
Our Master Bedroom Makeover for the One Room Challenge is moving along! Week three is all about painting walls and trim.
Moving forward with week three of the One Room Challenge, and our master bedroom walls and trim have all been painted! This post is going to be a quick update, but one that has definitely made a huge difference in this space.
If you need a recap of the last couple of weeks, here they are:
- Week One – Master Bedroom Design Plans
- Week Two – New Master Bedroom Furniture
- Week Three – Master Bedroom Paint Color (You Are Here)
Our wall color before was a gray color by BEHR called Sterling. It was a nice color but once I replaced our dressers with the new ones, the walls started to pull blue.
And gray on gray/blue-ish wasn’t the best look.
So I decided to go with a very subtle white, and ended up picking Weathered White by BEHR.
Picking out paint colors has always been tricky for me, especially whites. But my best tip when if you do need a white, is this. When you grab paint swatches, be sure to pick up a pure white one, then hold all of the other white color options up to it.
This allows you to compare and tell which colors your white pulls in.
Weathered White still pulls a little gray, but it isn’t near as competitive with my new dressers as Sterling was. And unfortunately it has been gloomy all week here, so the pictures really don’t do justice to how beautiful this paint color is.
Another huge tip when painting a space is to touch up your trim. All the trim was repainted in this room and it has made the BIGGEST difference!
It seriously feels so fresh!
So week 3 is in the books. A lot of work, but not much of a huge update!
Next week I’ll be installing the vertical shiplap! So stay tuned!

The paint looks amazing also looks like a professional painter did it. You can improve its attraction more with some installation of james hubbell art.
I can’t wait for next week !
