Farmhouse Side Table Makeover + GIVEAWAY

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Behr. All opinions are 100% my own.

You’ve heard people say it before, there is real power in paint. It can transform the walls of a room, or completely change a piece of furniture.  I always always always will give a discarded piece of furniture a second chance at life by slapping on a fresh coat of paint and seeing if it works. You really have nothing to lose by at least trying! I recently did a big time clean up of what I like to call my basement flea market (or a potential episode of Hoarders), and I had this little wood side table that I used for my record player and records back in the day that needed some love. So I gave it my attention.

The fun part of this little side table makeover is that it is part of a series called Behr Designer Stories that you can find over on the Behr website! I am thrilled to be working with them again (remember when I spent three solid days painting our main living area and kitchen?) and a great group of other designers too!

To see the full makeover, what paint I used, and how I transformed this table, head over to >>>  behr.com <<< now and check it out! AND, there’s more! Scroll down to the bottom on this post and enter in to win a $50.00 Home Depot Gift Card!

Love the change I have been collecting old furniture so long that part of the time it was awful to paint it. I love how it looks now fresh and with a new outlook because of paint

It’s amazing what a can of paint can do to bring things back to life. Our front porch is our next project. (We’ve already been to Home Depot to pick out colors)

I love working furniture. Right now I have my two grand-daughters’ dressers they’ve had since they were babies. I plan to re-do them into pieces they can take with them for another whole life as adult furniture.

ashley that is really cute! i have never painted a piece of furniture – gasp! – and this table has me thinking about a piece that has been living down in our basement. maybe this will give me enough courage to try….

  • Reply Sara St. Clair July 7, 2017 at 6:45 am

Ashley, I love using paint to make something over. What you have done for that little table is amazing. You have such a gift!

I have an entertainment center/TV stand (about the size of a dresser) that I want to paint in order to update it. It is not high-quality wood (bought at a big box store years ago), but the shape is adorable, so I’m not sure how it will take the paint. If you have any suggestions, I’d love them. I’ll also snoop on your blog to make sure I didn’t miss a post about this somewhere.

Thank you for your continued inspiration!
