Fall Home Tour 2017

I’m from the Midwest, born and raised. I really do love it here, but is there such a place where fall lasts more than like three weeks? Tell me, because I wouldn’t be opposed to moving there! We’re looking at ninety degree weather here in St. Louis for the next week and I am going cross-eyed waiting for my cool, crisp weather to come back. Fall here is a tease, and I am impatient.
The good news is, the weather has no effect on when I start decorating for fall. And I am officially decked out!

So welcome to my Fall Home Tour 2017! I’ve teamed up with a huge, wonderful group of talented bloggers to invite you into our homes, where we hope you take away some inspiration to decorate your own home for this beauty of a season! Big thanks to my sweet friend Deb from Seeking Lavender Lane for hosting and putting this whole tour together. Also, Kirkland’s was so so kind as to sponsor this Fall Home Tour blog hop AND one lucky reader is going to win a $1,500 Kirklands Gift Card! Um, wow!

If you are coming here from one of my favorite blogs Notting Grace, welcome! Let’s get this party started!

Fall Home Tour 2017

First up is our living room. Every year I try to switch up my color scheme, and this year I went a little dark and moody. You guys, I am really loving it!

I’m using a lot of burgundy, matched with dark greens and even some black. I had to go with mostly white pumpkins this year because they blend so well.

I am buffalo check obsessed so naturally I grabbed these black and white pillows from Kirklands the second I laid eyes on them. I also got the galvanized metal tray there, which worked perfectly to display some of my pumpkins in. Love the simplicity of it.

The burgundy pillows I found from West Elm and they were on sale for a great deal. I love the brown buttons too! I thought the dark green from my magnolia wreath went so well with the burgundy I was using, so I tied in similar color pumpkins from the Target dollar spot.

Next up is our dining room. Obviously my theme is apparent by now: burgundy, white pumpkins, and galvanized metal.
The leaf stems are from Michaels and I really really love the real, moody look to them in the galvanized pitcher. I always like to incorporate old books into almost every space, so I pulled some that had the color scheme. This is such an easy way to add a little vintage to a room, and even color coordinate them.

I also added some old pie pans to our hutch to add in more of the aged metal look.

Moving on to the guest bedrooms. I kept these both simple, added in some small fall touches. The main things I swap out for each changing season are florals, pillow covers, throws, and random accessories. I think those four things are easy to interchange without breaking your budget.
